WCT Partners with RIMAU to Save the Malayan Tiger
11 September 2025
As part of WCT’s ongoing commitment to biodiversity conservation, WCT partnered with RIMAU (Tiger Protection Society of Malaysia) to host an employee engagement programme on 6 August 2025 at The Ascent, Paradigm Petaling Jaya. The session gathered 34 employees and highlighted the challenges facing the critically endangered Malayan Tiger, of which fewer than 150 remain in the wild.

Through this collaboration, WCT is going beyond awareness by directly contributing to RIMAU’s conservation work on multiple fronts to reduce biodiversity loss. This includes:
  • Strengthening on-the-ground initiatives such as anti-poaching patrols, vehicle maintenance, and the use of camera traps for monitoring, as well as providing essential equipment and supplies for field operations.
  • Sustaining RIMAU’s core administration and community engagement efforts to ensure smooth coordination, effective stakeholder collaboration, and the continuity of their critical programmes.

40-minutes documentary sharing by RIMAU to highlight on the Malayan Tiger crisis and the threats faced by the iconic species.

Interactive breakout sessions allowed participants to brainstorm what WCT, and individuals can take to support tiger conservation.
By partnering with RIMAU, WCT not only reinforces its commitment to safeguarding Malaysia’s biodiversity but also strengthens its contribution to conservation while empowering employees to play an active role.

Together, let us protect the Malayan Tiger, preserve biodiversity, and build #AGreenerTomorrow.
