WCT’s support for Buku Jalanan Chow Kit (“BJCK”) has reached another meaningful milestone with the completion of WCTGives “Brightening Lives” 2.0. Building on the first phase launched in 2024, the latest initiative further enhances BJCK’s learning environment and supports the community it serves.

With a contribution of approximately RM34,000, WCTGives “Brightening Lives” 2.0 supported practical improvements to BJCK’s learning centre, including the entrance, staircase, storeroom and lighting facilities. The upgrades focused on enhancing safety, accessibility and functionality, creating a more welcoming environment for students, educators and visitors.

To add a more vibrant touch to the space, two murals now greet visitors at the entrance, bringing colour and character to the learning centre while reflecting the creativity and spirit of the community it serves.

More than an upgrade to the physical environment, the renewed space provides a more conducive setting for learning, interaction and personal development, complementing BJCK’s efforts to nurture young minds and support them in discovering their potential.

The completion of the upgrading works was marked by a handover ceremony officiated by Mr Chong Wah Hing, Chief Operating Officer – Property Development, WCT Holdings Berhad, where the improved facilities were officially handed over to BJCK.

As part of WCTGives’ #EducationforAll pillar, the initiative reflects WCT’s continued commitment to supporting access to education and creating more inclusive opportunities for underserved communities.
