WCT successfully undertook the bulk earthworks contracts at KLIA. The scope of work includes earthworks, site clearance, slope protection, horizontal drainage works, central retention pond, construction and completion of the main platform area, perimeter road and central and northern retention pond. The project involved moving 50 million cubic metres of earth and represented half the total earthworks at KLIA and was completed in 1996.
