WCT was part of the consortium which undertook the construction and completion of two work packages for the Bakun Hydroelectric Dam in Sarawak, Malaysia which were Package 1A and Package 1B. The project involved the main civil works for clearing and removal of overburden at the main dam and quarry area, excavation, transportation, power intake and powerhouse, integrated cofferdam and embankment works. The project was completed in April 2009.
