WCT was awarded a long-term concession contract of up to 25 years on a Built-Operate-Transfer basis by Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) to undertake the building and operation of an integrated complex and all associated works at the KLIA Terminal 2 Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia.
Under this contract, WCT handled the design, procurement, engineering, construction, and completion of the complex, followed by its operation, management, and maintenance. Known as gateway@klia2, the development houses a transportation hub, shopping mall, arrival and departure halls, food garden, and two blocks of 8-storey car parks.
Completed in July 2013, the complex began operations in May 2014 alongside KLIA Terminal 2. It has since received the LEED Silver Certification under LEED 2009 for Core and Shell.
