WCT was awarded a design and build contract by the Malaysian Ministry of Transport to undertake the upgrading and expansion works of the Kota Kinabalu International Airport Project (Package 1 - Terminal Building and Landside Infrastructure & Facilities). This included the demolition works, civil works, structural works, architectural works, landscaping and M&E works among others.
The project was successfully completed in March 2010 and was awarded the CIDB Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Award 2010 – Contractor of the Year Award.
