WCT in a joint venture under Cebarco-WCT W.L.L. secured a contract from the Minister of Works & Housing, Kingdom of Bahrain for the construction and maintenance works of Bahrain International Circuit which includes the construction and maintenance of the circuit complete with the buildings, race tracks, tunnels, paddock area, roads and other related infrastructure works, electro-mechanical installation, drainage, stormwater disposal and landscaping works.
The project was successfully completed in March 2004 and was awarded the CIDB Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Award 2004 - International Achievement Award.
