Since April 2024, Le Méridien Petaling Jaya has reduced the hotel’s landfill food waste by 1.2 tons monthly!

WCT Malls wins two awards at The BrandLaureate Property Branding Awards 2024, presented by the Asia Pacific Brands Foundation (APBF). Clinching the BrandLaureate Brandleadership Award – Malls Management for Ms. Selena Chua, CEO Retail, WCT Malls and Property Landmark Branding Award – Airport Retail and Commercial Development for gateway@klia2.

WCT participated as a strategic partner in the ‘Kutip Sampah Sambil Riadah (KUDAH) dan Penanaman Pokok Bakau’ event at the Hutan Simpan Kapar Tambahan, Jeram, Kuala Selangor on 27 April 2024 organised by the Department of Environment (“DOE”) Selangor and Rakan Alam Sekitar UiTM Student Chapter (“RAS UiTM SC”). The area was cleaned, and 1,000 mangrove trees were restored and rehabilitated. WCT Group contributed 600 trees out of the 1,000 trees, aligning to WCT’s sustainability goal of “Protecting the Environment.

Pavilion Mont’ Kiara in Kuala Lumpur was awarded the provisional GreenRE Silver certification in the Residential Category by GreenRE Sdn Bhd. Key green features that qualify the project include the installation of coloured glass to reduce heat gain and energy use, solar panels, and rainwater harvesting systems that meet local regulations. The project also uses recycled materials such as Green Cement to lower its Concrete Usage Index (CUI) and integrates Industrialised Building System (IBS) to efficiently plan material usage and decrease construction waste.

WCT Malls announced the launch of its "Relax, Reunite & Be Rewarded" campaign at gateway@klia2, coinciding with the unveiling of its revamped Transportation Hub under the leadership of Asia Success Resources Sdn Bhd. The campaign aims to enhance the shopping experience for travellers and reward their loyalty, while the hub sets new standards in efficiency, safety, and passenger experience.

WCT Group’s Lunar New Year celebrations were filled with vibrant lion dance performances and interactive activities, spreading happiness to the management and all employees.

WCTGives 'Golden Harvest' Community Outreach Programme in partnership with Pasar Grub and Grace Community Services have impacted 150 beneficiaries in Klang. Through the programme, 300 festive food packs comprising fresh vegetables and fruits as well as dried goods were distributed, spreading joy and hope in conjunction with Chinese New Year.

WCT Land emerges as the biggest winner at the 10th PropertyGuru Asia Awards Malaysia in partnership with iProperty.com.my with a total of 9 golden awards including the top nod as Malaysia Best Developer.

WCT Gives empowerment to single and retired mothers in their Bake to Success Deepavali CSR initiative in partnership with Ibupreneur. Through the workshop and bake sale, 30 mothers were impacted and given new skills to upgrade their businesses.

WCT expands our investment in the hospitality sector with the addition of Hyatt Place Johor Bahru Paradigm Mall. The hotel opened its doors to eager guests on 8 November 2023 with representatives from WCT Holdings Berhad and Hyatt Hotels gracing the opening ceremony.

The Maple Residences, WCity OUG at Kuala Lumpur was awarded Bronze in the Residential Category by GreenRE Sdn Bhd, thereby making it the first green-certified project under WCT Land. The certification was granted to The Maple Residences, having taken into consideration aspects such as Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency and Environmental Protection.
